Cleaning mechanical ventilation systems

Mechanical ventilation consists of many small components that together form the system. Every contaminated component reduces the throughput of the whole.

For a mechanical system cleaning is mainly a matter of completeness: ducts, valves, grilles and the connections all have to be included. A half-clean system does not perform.

We assess per installation what is technically reachable and turn that into a scope. The contamination per component differs, and that difference determines the approach.

Installations this work applies to

  • Round and flexible ducts in homes
  • MVHR and bypass valves in the technical room
  • Window and ceiling grilles in the rooms
  • Floor and ceiling supply vents

What we do within this service

  • Cleaning of the full air path of the system

Conditions, prerequisites and technical limits

  • Components that cannot be separated without damage are not dismantled.
  • Controls and sensors are not adjusted; that is work for the installer.
  • In a tenant situation a referral to the manager or HOA is required.
