Cleaning MVHR installations

An MVHR installation reuses air inside the home. That saves energy, but it also means dust and fibres usually circulate through the system several times before they are discharged.

With MVHR the ducts on both sides of the heat exchanger collect the contamination. The valves in the supply and extract often run full, which means the unit has to work harder.

We clean the ducts, the valves and the internally accessible parts of the unit. The heat exchanger itself is left untouched, because it can only be treated with the right method and without damage.

Installations this work applies to

  • Supply and extract ducts around the heat exchanger

Conditions, prerequisites and technical limits

  • The heat exchanger is not opened; that requires a specialised treatment.
  • Building management and automation systems are not modified.
  • In a tenant situation permission from the manager or HOA is required.
